Welcome to the BEARHILL MASTIFFS web-site....

We have been enjoying this breed since 1995 when we first started looking at these incredible dogs. Though we are fairly new to this breed, we are not new to the dog show world. My folks, BEARHILL GOLDENS, (yes I stole their name) have been showing, breeding and building a quality reputation of championship Golden Retrievers for over 25 years. After being bribed and dragged to many shows as a child, my parents could not believe that I was now interested in showing dogs in conformation.
My wife and I purchased our first Mastiff from Scott Phoebus, home of Iron Hills Mastiffs, in 1996. His name is Ch. Iron Hills Capt. Morgan Orig. Rum, CGC or "Morgan". I finished Morgan at 12 months of age, took a few months off and then started showing him in breed. At two years old he received a Judges Award of Merit at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show. By now I was completely hooked on this wonderful breed. In addition to multiple Best of Breeds, Morgan has won the breed at Buck's County Kennel Club, which is a very prestigious show for mastiffs, under English judge's two years in a row, 1999 and 2000. Morgan has been more then I could ever imagine, in my mind, he fits the standard so well, not only in type but in attitude as well.
We now own several mastiffs and they all hold a special place in our hearts. At BEARHILL MASTIFF's we are always looking for that next show dog. That one that stands out in the ring, not only to the judges, but also most importantly to the spectators. We are destine to preserve the qualities that are so true to this ancient breed; type, loyalty, good-natured, impressive and sound. All the qualities that really make you stand back in admiration.
